Conductive 3D printing

The bulk electrical resistance of 3D parts printed using conductive filament has a complex dependence on the printing parameters, filament properties, and sample design. We are working to characterize the resistance of fundamental building blocks and develop software tools to predict bulk electrical properties from the CAD design. Ultimately, electrically conductive 3D printed parts with electrical properties that can be predicted during design will benefit the field of flexible sensors.
